Senior session at the FarmWhat a blast it was to photograph this young lady

A parent is never ready for their child to grow up. To leave the house. To become an adult. We spend all of their childhood teaching them values, rights and wrongs and what we think they need to know. And one day - through all the chaos - we realize they have blossomed into amazing young people ready to take on the world.

This is exactly what happened at my last senior session at River Bend Farm in Uxbridge. Rachel decided to have her high school senior portraits taken during fall to take advantage of the stunning colors and scenery. I absolutely loved her choice of outfits… so perfect for the fall setting. While most wish for a bright sunny day for their session, in this case the absence of direct sunlight allowed her beautiful red hair and green eyes to really shine!

One of the poses captured involved Rachel laying in the leaves that had recently fallen. During an outfit change, Mom mentioned that it reminded her of an experience that she had with Rachel when she was 3 years old… When I gave Mom a sneak peek to the back of the camera, tears began to flow. As a mom, I could not help but join in. I am so thankful that I, unknowingly, was able to help her leap back in time and recreate that moment for her.

Photo session brings back memories

Rachel is a member of the 2016 graduating class of Sutton High School & a rock star on the soccer team. She has chosen a college and she is ready to get out there. Rachel, you did an awesome job. I wish you all the best in your senior year! It was a pleasure to work with you and your mom.
