"Love is an invisible connection that is exquisitely felt by those who know the joy, share the sweetness and celebrate the gift." ~unknown

As a photographer, one of my favorite things to witness is the transition from a couple to becoming a family. The anticipation, the warmth, the love – it's beautiful to capture. I could feel the love this couple shares in their maternity session. They way they moved, how they exchanged looks. They simply had fun. The love was apparent in their beautifully decorated nursery, too. Together they had created a warm and cozy space to welcome their newest family member. Even the family dog, "Big Sister" Kona could feel some amazing changes were coming.

Soon after baby Dante was born, I got to meet them again. I spent a wonderful afternoon with the new family of four. Even though they were only home a few days, it appeared that “Big Sister” Kona was adjusting well to her little brother.

Planning for both sessions was seamless all thanks to this glowing new Momma. Over the course of their pregnancy, she went to great lengths to find the perfect props and communicate just what she wanted me to capture for them. She wanted to honor her husband as not only a loving partner, but a devoted city police officer. A man with heart and courage becoming a father and role model.

I feel privileged to have gotten to know this family and I look forward to watching this new love of theirs blossom. Congratulations Laura & Sean!
