"Maybe photography is not about cameras, or even things.  Maybe photography is about giving your imagination its wings." ~unknown

Oh, Christmas.  The most wonderful time of the year...   Those who know me know that my most favorite Christmas tradition is sending and receiving personalized photo Christmas cards.  So you can just imagine how excited I was to work with this family on their card this year.

Fairly recently I crossed paths with a fellow Mom with a huge imagination.  Not only is she an extremely talented artist, but her heart is as big as the sun.  There isn't anything that she wouldn't do for someone.

I quickly discovered that her love of photography is as big as if not more than mine.  This year she wanted to make her Christmas cards a How the Grinch Stole Christmas theme.  She hand made each of the outfits, painted the set and chose the cast - the kids, family dog, even Grandma and a very special stuffy named Radar.  Then it was my turn to transform her imagination into a fun filled portrait session.  Watching a four year old play on a homemade set as the Grinch is a memory I will cherish for a long time.

To quote How the Grinch Stole Christmas: "Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.  Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more!"

Thank you Peters Family.   I cannot wait to see what next year brings...
